One of the best uses of public climate finance is to de-risk private investment in the low carbon economy. We believe that smart blended finance solutions have an immense potential to help governments leverage official funds with private capital, sharing both the returns and the risks, while still working towards social, environmental and economic goals.
Cambodia: Derisking Renewable Energy Investment (DREI)
This report by UNDP Cambodia, Kamworks and South Pole, provides the first in-depth analysis of investment risks and opportunities in all four sub-sectors for solar PV development in Cambodia – utility-scale PV, rooftop PV, solar-battery mini-grids and solar home systems – as well as instruments to de-risk investments in the respective sub-sectors.
