Erick is a Bangkok-based consultant and project manager with multiple years' experience working on policy and planning relating to renewable energy, energy access and sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region. At South Pole, he is a Consultant focusing on energy transition and sustainability for public and well and private sector clients.Erick began his career within the Asia-Pacific regional arm of the United Nations (UN), where he worked in the Energy Security and Water Resource Management section and later the Energy division. During his time with the UN, Erick worked in close collaboration with the public sector in South and Southeast Asia, in both a policy advisory and capacity building context. His work focused on integrated sustainable development strategies, renewable energy promotion and private sector engagement for national, sectoral and local stakeholders. Erick has proven management experience, coordinating the implementation of complex regional projects on rural development and energy access.
Based on this extensive practical experience, Erick has a strong grasp of the national energy markets in Southeast Asia and has developed skills related to understanding the nuanced context required to 'bridge the communication gap' amongst various stakeholders, particularly inter-ministerial and between the private and public sectors.
