This makes 2019 the third consecutive year for the climate solutions provider to have its leadership in bringing robust renewable energy solutions to the market recognised.
To date, South Pole has advised over 200 global corporates on their international energy procurement strategies, supporting them in implementing a range of renewable energy solutions.
The company currently has a portfolio of over 700 projects, and offers renewable energy solutions in over 40 countries – ranging from Energy Attribute Certificates, such as GOs, I-RECs or RECs, to corporate power purchase agreements (PPAs) and on-site renewables.
The global climate solutions provider was also the winner of Best Broker, Secondary Market and Best Advisory/Consultancy for the Kyoto Project Credits and has been highly involved in the initial drafting of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
As nations prepare to implement the Paris Agreement, the adoption of market-based approaches that enhance international cooperation, such as carbon markets, will be key in delivering on national pledges and tackling the challenges of a warming climate.
