Australian Climathon 2018 is open for registration!
'Climathon' is a global movement dedicated to solving the toughest climate challenges cities face today. The format is a 24-hour, 2-day hackathon* taking place simultaneously in cities around the world on 26 October 2018.
Each city sets its own local climate challenge that reflects what affects their urban life the most. Challenges can vary from air quality, water and waste management or extreme weather events, etc. Participants then tackle the set challenge for a full 24-hours, before pitching their ideas in front of relevant local stakeholders. These ideas can develop into tangible sustainable solutions, projects and businesses that address city climate challenges across the globe.
Register now as a group or individual, and find a solution to your city's challenge with like-minded entrepreneurs, students, researchers, sector professionals and innovators. Win for your chance to take your idea further and get coaches through free workshops by local leaders from academia, business and government.
You can learn more about the 2018 Climathon and register on the Climate-KIC Australia website, here.
