Marianne leads South Pole's Policy & Strategy Asia team in the implementation of Article 6 and Certificates strategy. This includes advising government and private sector clients on Article 6 policy and supporting the development of enabling carbon market environments.
She brings over 11 years of professional expertise in policy design and strategy through her prior experience at the Singapore Economic Development Board where she led the Board's work in developing decarbonisation pathways such as CCS, Hydrogen, and other low carbon technologies. She brings to this position key skills in client engagement, strategy development and implementation, and stakeholder management across government and industry.
She holds a M.Sc in Economic Policy from University College London and a B.Eng in Chemical Engineering from the National University of Singapore.
With his deep understanding of South Pole's extensive portfolio of projects and credit issuance, Ricky supports APAC clients with structuring a high quality portfolio offer of credits to meet their requirements and preferences. Ricky brings a wealth of expertise in the industry with prior roles as a Senior Analyst at FGE specialising in Gas/LNG & Carbon-Neutral LNG and as Manager of Risk and Compliance at Dow Jones, Ricky possesses a comprehensive understanding of the field.
Bettina Wisthaler is a Sustainability Advisor and Key Account Manager with a focus on the chemical, pharmaceuticals & health care industries. In this role she advises companies on beyond value chain mitigation and net zero aligned carbon credit portfolios. Bettina holds an MA in International Business and has a background in business consulting, logistics and supply chain.
Marco is Executive Director Projects and Portfolio Management at South Pole. Marco has been working in the VCM for more than 15 years and he is now managing a team of 300+ people developing emission reduction projects around the world.
Before South Pole, Marco has developed ER projects in Turkey for GITEC and worked in climate policy for the European Commission and for the Clinton Foundation
Tommy Ricketts founded BeZero Carbon with Sebastien Cross in 2020. As CEO, he oversees the leadership team, ensuring that the business is anticipating and addressing the evolving needs of the market and its customers, that the company is growing healthily and is one of the best places to work in climate tech.
Prior to founding BeZero Carbon, Tommy was a VP in Global Research at Bank of America and worked as a political strategist in London and Brussels. He has an MA in Economic History from The University of Edinburgh.
