The evolution of voluntary carbon markets: European perspective and Italian insights

Insights prove that climate action necessitates global and regional solutions. While various carbon market mechanisms are already in place in Europe, there is still potential for some national governments to act.

In discussing implementing a regional carbon standard in Italy, this session hopes to push the needle on possible pathways for action. New developments in carbon markets within Europe and Italy will be on the table as well as markets' potential to deliver corporate climate action successfully. In detailing the critical conditions for their establishment the session will explore the national mechanisms' practical implications.

The session will include networking to connect after the panel discussion.
