During the day, we will do a paddock walk and delve into four key topics: options for managing subsoil acidity, carbon project and financing alternatives for landowners, optimising grazing management using Agriwebb & Cibolabs, and enhancing seed mixes for carbon sequestration and ruminant nutrition benefits.

Alice is a technical expert in soil carbon management and the ERF soil carbon method, with a background in undertaking soil surveys as a geotechnician. As a key member of South Pole's Climate Projects team, she manages the Australian Project Implementation for Agriculture and Nature-based Solutions. She holds a Bachelor in Agricultural Business Management and a Graduate Certificate in Agriculture. She also has experience working in corporate agricultural asset management, designing a program for assets to reach carbon neutrality, working with farm managers to structure and implement practices that increase soil carbon stocks, and coordinating revegetation projects.
Sydney has been a Specialist in South Pole's Climate Projects Technical and Business Development teams since February 2022. She facilitates the development and ongoing compliance of South Pole's carbon offsets projects in Australia. She is currently completing a Master of Environment in Climate Change at the University of Melbourne and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics & International Studies.
Zia is a Senior Technical Specialist for the Agricultural, Forestry and Other Land Use (AFLOU) sector for Australia. Zia has over 10 years of experience in landscape regeneration and reforestation in various ecosystems in Australia, South East Asia and Sweden, working with Indigenous communities, non-government organisations and government departments. She brings her on-ground and environmental expertise into carbon project development and management. Zia has received a Masters in Environmental Science and Management from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
Phil is a co-founder and Managing Director of Cibo Labs. He has a background in agriculture, growing up on mixed farms in southern Australia. Phil has over 30 years experience in the application of geospatial and remote sensing solutions focused on natural resource management, agriculture and climate change. He has worked in both private and government sectors undertaking applied research, providing science-policy advice, and leading national research and operational programs. Phil is passionate about delivering pragmatic solutions that support profitable farm businesses, the broader agricultural sector and more sustainable landscapes.
Hamish has worked in dairy since 1989 and have his own property in Central Victoria where he applies regenerative processes with water cycle being key. With a background in Applied Chemistry, the went on to further study biochemistry.
Andrew Wood the Northern Victorian business manager or Valley Seeds. Originally from Gippsland in Victoria and now based near Wangaratta, Andrew has vast experience in the ag industry and specifically, the dairy business. He's held key roles with Stockfeed, Fonterra, Lactalis and Lely robotic milking systems, run his own part-time time consulting business Redwood Ag Solutions and is a graduate of Ag Science (Melbourne University and Dookie).
Malcolm grew up on a mixed farming operation in central Victoria where he had wide experience involving sheep, cropping, diary cattle, pigs,and layer production. He then furthered his studies at La Trobe University graduating with a Bachelor of Agricultural Science in 1986. Since then Malcolm has worked in marketing and sales of animal nutrition products and feed additives. Mal is probably most known for the work with betaine in the early 1990's which lead to a 2-3 year stint in the USA with Finnfeeds/Danisco between 1997-1999. Upon returning to Australia Malcom formed Feedworks Pty Ltd partnership with Nick Kempe and remains Managing Partner of that business.
