Irene has over a decade years of experience in plastic pollution management. As founder of Life Out Of Plastic - L.O.O.P., an internationally awarded for profit social impact company in Peru, she advised both private and public sector stakeholders on plastic pollution mitigation. Until joining South Pole in January 2020 to scale the circular economy team, Irene managed a pan-european portfolio of plastic waste prevention projects at Climate-KIC, a climate innovation agency of the European Institute of Technology, an independent body of the EU. Irene holds a BSc. in Environmental Sciences from McGill University and a MEM from Duke University.
Nicole is a Plastics and Circular Economy Consultant with over three years of experience in sustainable materials strategy, FMCG and digital management consulting. Upon joining South Pole, Nicole has led the HEINEKEN Global Plastic Program in which she overlooked 20+ global projects and engaged internal and external stakeholders on their transformation to a circular economy for plastics and other packaging materials. With her M.Sc. in Business Information Management from the Rotterdam School of Management, as well as her previous experience in numerous digital start-ups as a data analyst, she is also trained to bridge the gap between plastics sustainability and digital tools and data.
Tim is an Analyst at South Pole, specialising in circular economy work. He has been working in the field of sustainability and circularity for the past 4 years. Prior to joining South Pole, Tim worked as a sustainability consultant on topics of green finance in real estate, GHG accounting and high-level sustainability strategies. His experience ranges from working in early stage startup environments, to NGOs and Corporate Businesses. He holds a bachelor's in International Business Administration from WHU- Otto Beisheim School of Management. Tim is fluent in German and English.
