Sonya supports clients with understanding how they influence and are influenced by a changing climate. She focuses on developing GHG emissions inventories, setting decarbonisation targets, developing net zero roadmaps and crafting climate resilience strategies. Sonya supports clients across the food, industrial, power, aviation and services industries working with frameworks like the GHG Protocol, SBTi, Climate Active, TCFD and ISSB. Sonya's strengths include combining an analytical approach with pragmatism developed working in-house. Sonya holds a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering, a Masters in Sustainable Development and a Climate Risk certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals.
Simon Lowden is the Chief Transformation Officer for The Arnott's Group, home to a portfolio of food brands that have been staples in Australian households for over 157 years. Simon is charged with accelerating The Group's growth through driving the geographic footprint expansion, leading the development of the corporate strategy, building R&D and digital capabilities and developing the sustainability strategy for a healthier planet, community and workforce.
Previously, in his role as Chief Sustainability Officer at PepsiCo, Simon led the development of the food and beverage company's sustainability strategy. Simon drove the agenda to help create a more sustainable global food system to meet and balance the unique needs of nutrition and enjoyment, continuing to drive economic growth and social development, while protecting the planet.
Before this, Simon was President of PepsiCo Global Foods, where he developed and executed marketing, innovation and growth strategies for the $25 billion global snacks business unit. Simon managed a global portfolio of more than 30 snack brands and oversaw $600 million in research and development and $1 billion in marketing support—while directing central and global commercial teams. Simon also had experience leading the North American Beverages business at PepsiCo, turning around the performance of the $20 billion portfolio, which encompasses more than 20 brands.
Simon continually champions strategic planning, team leadership, smart communication, storytelling and product development in all his roles.
Anna is passionate about helping organisations to take ambitious climate action through decarbonisation of their operations and value chain. Anna has experience working in sustainability in the property and construction sector and has extensive knowledge of the unique decarbonisation challenge facing the built environment. Anna holds a BA (Environment & Government) and a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Sydney.
