Jerome has almost 25 years' experience of leading and delivering on sustainability. Currently, as Director of Sustainability for Center Parcs UK and Ireland, Jerome leads the team responsible for improving Center Parcs environmental impacts and providing careful custodianship for its forests.
Previous roles have included leading on sustainability for the NHS in England and as Senior Advisor in Sustainable Healthcare to the Aga Khan Development Network. The former role included leading on areas including NHS carbon reduction, climate change adaptation, air pollution, and social value. The latter role included guiding the implementation of lower carbon healthcare in low-income countries including Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Kenya.
As part of his work with AKDN Jerome developed a free Scope1,2 & 3 carbon footprinting tool that is now used by the WHO with health care providers across Africa, Asia, and their Eastern Mediterranean regions. Prior to this, as a consultant for a small social enterprise, Jerome led on growing the low carbon economy in Nottingham and the East Midlands. His work has focussed on impact and invariably supported organisations, communities, and sectors to materially move the dial on environmental sustainability, including achieving steep emissions cuts.
Jerome's work has led to numerous awards over the years, including the British Medical Journal award for Sustainable Healthcare, a Green Gown award for work with universities, and the Queens award for Enterprise in Sustainable Development. In 2019 Jerome was recognised as Environmentalist of the Year by the Society for the Environment.
