The green bond market is on track for continued growth after the value of issues trebled for two years consecutively. The 2015 market has seen a healthy $11.8 billion of issues in the second quarter, up from $8.7 billion in the first quarter, and momentum is expected to build in the second half of the year. The US has seen particularly strong issuance from municipalities. In addition, several corporates have come to market in recent months. Latin America and Canada are other sources of strong potential growth.
Environmental Finance has been a strong supporter of the green bond market since its inception, hosting Green Bond conferences as early as 2011, long before other conference providers followed suit. The company looks forward to discussing the developments in this market on October 7 for what promises to be a thought-provoking day. South Pole Group has ensured the climate neutrality of discussions by offsetting the emissions of the conference.
You can meet our team member, Stephen Scofield (Director Financial Industry Solutions, North America) at the event. The conference is strictly by invitation only. If you are an investor, have issued a green bond or are considering doing so and would like to receive an invitation, please email subs@environmental-finance.com
