The Asia Society Policy Institute (ASPI) has today released its report: Carbon Market Cooperation in Northeast Asia: Overcoming Barriers. The Report is part of ASPI's 'Toward a Northeast Asia Carbon Market' initiative, and details how China, Japan and South Korea are emerging as major players in the global carbon trading landscape.
The volume draws on expertise from a wide range of scholars and practitioners. It aims to equip policymakers and stakeholders with information and guidance on the potential of, and a pathway towards, carbon market linkage in the Northeast Asian region.
South Pole's Director Climate Policy and Carbon Markets, Jeff Swartz is one expert who contributed to the Report. Swartz authored Chapter 2: Building the Foundation for Regional Carbon Market Linkage in Northeast Asia.
