Global Landscape Forum in Lima, 6 Dec: “Making the case for organic farming and for a low external input sustainable agriculture as climate-smart landscape solutions", on 6th December at the Global Landscape Forum (10.45am – 12.15pm)
During this panel discussion, we will discuss about the different innovative landscape approaches that build resilience in regions affected by climate change. In addition, we will debate about how we could make sure that landscape approaches based on organic and low-input agriculture build resilient livelihoods and what are the most effective ways to use the carbon financing to contribute to green growth in these regions.
One of the panelist will be Christian Dannecker, Director of the Forestry and land use group at South Pole Carbon. He is an expert on REDD+, agroforestry, agriculture, clean cook stove and biomass projects as well as providing distinct consultancy services on land based carbon projects, standards and methodologies, policy, MRV, extension outreach, and commercialization strategies.
