According to the World Economic Forum's 2015 Global Risks report, in the coming decade four of the top ten global risks are directly or indirectly linked to changes in the earth's climate system. As concern over climate change persists, government action to mitigate the risk—meaning laws and regulations to reduce carbon emissions from fossil fuels and shift toward lowcarbon energy supplies—is likely to accelerate.
