As well as celebrating the successes of the Clean Development Mechanism, the recent report published by the UNFCCC highlights the importance to take stock and understand how things can be improved. It is important to focus on what lessons can be learned from the past 17 years, in particular, to understand how policymakers will be shaped by lessons from the CDM.
