Ronan Carr's background is in finance and investment research and is a graduate and Dean's List Award winner of University College Dublin. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and holds the Certificate in Quantitative Finance. With a particular interest in thematic investing and sustainable finance, he has completed the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.
Ronan oversees ratings methodologies and leads the analytical function. Prior to BeZero, he had 20 years experience in macro research and investment strategy, at Morgan Stanley and Bank of America, covering equities, emerging markets and multi-asset.
Manuel Höchemer has been working within the Commerzbank Group since 2017 across various roles. Since 2022, he has been part of Commerzbank AG in Frankfurt, working within the Financial Markets Sales Commodities team. For more than five years, he has been specializing in carbon markets, including Compliance Emissions Trading (EU ETS), Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), Voluntary and Global Carbon Markets.
Marco is Executive Director Projects and Portfolio Management at South Pole. Marco has been working in the VCM for more than 15 years and he is now managing a team of 300+ people developing emission reduction projects around the world.
Before South Pole, Marco has developed ER projects in Turkey for GITEC and worked in climate policy for the European Commission and for the Clinton Foundation
Alice is a senior managing consultant at South Pole, specialized in climate strategies. Her work focuses on GHG accounting, science-based targets setting, decarbonization roadmaps, net zero strategies and carbon credit advisory.
Prior to South Pole, she worked at the non-profit CDP and guided major European companies across multiple sectors in their environmental journey. She also has a strong background in Agronomy as she gained experience as a Senior Global Ingredient Scientist at Mars and holds an MSc in Agronomy, Food Science and Agri-Business from Montpellier SupAgro.
