We want to make sure everyone can join us to learn from the leading voices tackling the climate emergency right now. If you're planning to join one of our webinars, please follow the steps below to make sure you're set for success!

Ahead of the webinar

Firewall settings - does your IT network allow you to access the webinar?

In some organisations, your IT team may have a firewall in place which monitors and protects web traffic in and out of the company.

Please ensure your IT team allows use of GotoWebinar by adjusting Firewall settings (see details below). This can be especially relevant for larger corporations:

If your IT team cannot adjust the Firewall settings, please ensure that you have a device with an external connection outside of firewalls that you can use to attend.

Device settings - does your device work with GotoWebinar?

Please ensure that the device you are intending to use to attend the webinar is set up correctly. This system check will check your browser, operating system and internet connection to make sure they will give you the best experience on our webinar.

Please note, the above test does not check your Firewall settings. Please ensure your IT team have reviewed the Firewall settings above in advance.

Receiving emails about the webinar

Webinar details will be sent by customercare@gotowebinar.com. Please ensure your email provider allows these emails and make sure to always double check your Spam folder just in case it ends up there.

On the day of the webinar

Are you experiencing issues connecting to the webinar?

If you are experiencing issues connecting to the webinar on the day, please run through the following steps to ensure you have everything set up correctly:

  1. Please double check that your browser and computer are up to date and there are no pending updates
  2. Check your device is ready to go (remember, this test doesn't check your firewall settings - see above)
  3. Please exit all windows, clear your browser cache and then re-enter the webinar.
  4. Please exit all windows, clear your browser cache, restart your computer and then re-enter the webinar
  5. Check with your IT team that firewall rules have been amended to allow access
  6. If all else fails, contact GotoWebinar support directly.
