Monday April 24 - During the Easter festivities last week, South Pole Group welcomed our CEO Renat Heuberger to our offices in Sydney and Melbourne. Taking advantage of his timely arrival to Australian shores, we seized the opportunity to officially launch our trusted penguin brand Down Under.
On Wednesday April 20, we received clients, partners and friends in our downtown Sydney office. Hosted by our Australian Sales Directors Justin Pilgrim and Robert Brown, the crowd was treated to a bit of South Pole history and culture, provided by Penguin veteran Renat Heuberger. Some background information about Climate Friendly, our Australian subsidiary focusing on developing Australian emissions reduction projects, was also provided by Climate Friendly CEO Freddy Sharpe. The evening was enriched by lively discussions, drinks and snacks. Ernst Steinmann, Consul General of Switzerland to Australia, was our guest of honour and we were also graced by the presence of a delegation of Swiss companies, who were invited by SwissCham, the Swiss Chamber of Commerce in Australia.
The following day, we opened our doors further South for a similar event to welcome our Melbourne-based clients, partners and friends. This time in the stylish restaurant Trunk, located right in the heart of Melbourne's trendy CBD. Here, Manuela Erb, Honorary Consul of Switzerland to Australia, was our guest of honour.
