The private sector has an immense role to play in the global climate action and in our collective goal of keeping global warming within 1.5 degrees. COP26 showed that the private sector ambition is there.
Whilst direct emission reductions must be a priority, there are many solutions that complement reductions on the journey to net zero, such as CCS and the voluntary carbon market.
Join South Pole's Dr Maria Carvalho at the Global CCS Institute event on December 8. There, she and other experts will assess the status of the voluntary carbon market and explore what needs to happen for voluntary carbon offsets to incentivise carbon capture and storage (CCS) and engineered carbon dioxide removal (CDR) projects.
