This project introduces an anaerobic loop system that covers the factory's wastewater lagoons and captures potent methane gas. Where the methane would have polluted the local environment, the wastewater is instead converted into green, biogas energy. This is then used to power the palm oil factory and feedback into the national grid, creating sustainable, circular production.
This project greatly improves the environment by reducing harmful greenhouse gas emissions and improving the quality of wastewater discharged to the public waterways. It boosts the economic development of Malaysia by powering the country with green technology and it ensures a more stable power supply, bettering the lives of the local community.
