To address climate change challenges, cities need major investments across all urban infrastructure sectors. Yet financing climate mitigation and adaptation projects at city level can be challenging.
The City Finance Lab (CFL) was founded in 2018 as the first incubator of innovative financing solutions for green cities. The CFL seeks to unlock additional public and private investments in urban climate efforts and is led by the EIT Climate-KIC, South Pole, CDP, FMDV and GIB.
