The 25-turbine wind power project has a total installed capacity of 49.6 MW, feeding an 100,866 MWh into the local China Southern Power Grid on average annually.
Beyond replacing some of the carbon emissions produced by fossil fuel-fired power plants with clean, renewable energy, the Guangdong Guanshan project is boosting the developing Chinese wind power industry as well as stimulating the regional economy. As well as providing employment opportunities during its construction and assembly, the project has provided 24 permanent positions and also stimulates the developing local tourism industry.
