Frédéric is Global Director for Climate Policy, Finance and Carbon Markets at South Pole and has more than 18 years experience of managing teams and consultancy projects in the field of climate and energy policy. He has conducted research and consultancy projects in Canada, Latin America, and Africa and has extensive experience in climate and energy policies in developing-country contexts, especially in relation to carbon-pricing instruments and climate finance, as well as United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) negotiations.
Lucila, Regional Director for Latin America, combines over 21 years of carbon and climate finance experience. A certified UNFCCC Technical Expert Reviewer (TER) for Article 6 and an appointed Expert to the Roster of Experts (ROE) for Argentina, and she has a proven track record collaborating with multilateral institutions like the World Bank, the IDB, and the GCF.
Lucila actively engages with government agencies across the LATAM region, tracking carbon pricing policies, Article 6 regulatory frameworks, and carbon market developments to inform and drive carbon project development. Lucila holds a law degree and a master's degree in Natural Resources Law from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), as well as a master's degree in environmental law from Austral University and a Certificate on ESG from Columbia University.
