With over a decade of work experience on farm, Santos has witnessed first-hand the complexities of managing landscapes. Be it cropping, grazing livestock or even forestry, in all of these different industries, Santos has found a common issue and what is perhaps modern agriculture's biggest dilemma: the deterioration of the natural resources it depends upon.
Santos obtained his Master's in Agroecology before joining South Pole. Now working as a nature-based solutions sourcing specialist, he connects the dots between research and farming. He firmly believes that finding harmony in integrating agriculture and its surrounding ecology is key to solving today's pressing issues.
