This project installs and runs 84 turbines, to harness strong prevailing winds across the state of Tamilnandu. The project replaces fossil fuel generated electricity, instead exporting clean and renewable energy to the national grid.
By driving wind-generated energy, this project displaces harmful, fossil-fuel-based power, cutting the associated greenhouse gas emissions. As well as increasing India’s energy security, the project boosts long-term green growth by installing renewable energy infrastructure and creating job opportunities.
